About Somewhere Publishing
An independent literary press for books that reward attention, rereading, and conversation.
Why It Exists
Somewhere Publishing makes literary fiction shaped by enduring questions and emotionally resonant human situations.
The press looks for precise work with enough structure to enter and enough room to return: books in which places, objects, documents, images, practical actions, or deliberate restraint carry meaning.
Each title receives its own visual language and a useful post-reading doorway. Reader resources help people notice, revisit, and discuss; they do not prescribe a conclusion.
Craftsmanship over speed. Thought over opinion. Permanence over novelty. Curiosity over certainty.
Author
Colin Alexander is the author of Compass Hall. He founded Somewhere Publishing, an independent literary press. His work moves between public and family life, using maps, objects, practical detail, and reader resources to create literary projects designed to continue beyond the final page for independent readers, reading groups, and classrooms.
